Avocado by Linda Snider Ward

Avocado (watercolor on paper). Playing with painting real vegetables and fruit as still life. It's great, but just a few minutes under a spotlight and they're a mess.

Window to the Horse by Linda Snider Ward

Window to the Horse (watercolor on full sheet heavy watercolor paper). I may have posted this before. It's a new work that hasn't been shown yet, because it's very difficult to shoot. A friend of mine did this shot of it, and it's much better than what I had gotten with it. It must be the little details that make it so hard to shoot.

Joyce in the Garden by Linda Snider Ward

Joyce in the Garden (watercolor on watercolor board). Painting on watercolor board is about like painting on Yupo paper--slip and slid--and you either love it or hate it. Today, I'm teaching a Watercolor Techniques workshop all day at the River Gallery in West Monroe, Louisiana. It's a workshop for beginners and intermediates. I had a lot of fun with the group in Farmerville in July, and I'm sure this one will just as much fun.

Colorado Skies by Linda Snider Ward

Colorado Skies (acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas). After a recent road trip to Evergreen, Colorado, I find myself painting clouds! I've always loved clouds, but in Colorado they are amazing with a 360 degree view. Love it!
